GRB - excavator grading beam
GRB Grading & levelling beams
- 2.5–30 tons
- On request
- Carriers: Mini, Midi, Standard
The GRB is a grading beam for excavators. It spreads and levels soil, gravel and sand over a wide strip, and it holds a flatter surface than a grading bucket because the long blade and the roller behind it both ride on the ground.
About this family
Grading Beams are a useful attachment for excavators that can help achieve a flat surface before further ground work. They are available in different widths and come with different tilting and roller options. Excavator grading beams are more precise than a standard grading bucket and are designed to be wide and flat to give you both a large working width and great visibility.
Standard model, rigid with roller: Standard version with a roller on bearings allowing smooth operation. Roller’s height can be adjusted. Hydraulic-tilting model with roller: Everything in standard plus. Tilts up to 45 degrees each side. Double pilot check valve for safety and for holding exact angle. Basic model, rigid without roller: Basic, economic version of the grading bar. Features no roller, so no adjustments are possible. Still very usable in less demanding tasks.
Three versions are built. The Basic beam is rigid and runs without a roller, for straightforward levelling. The Standard beam is rigid and carries a roller on bearings; the roller height is adjustable, so you set how much material stays behind the edge. The hydraulic version tilts up to 45 degrees to each side, which lets you pull a slope or a crossfall without moving the machine.
Two sizes. GRB midi fits machines of 6 to 18 t and comes 2000 or 2500 mm wide; GRB maxi fits 10 to 30 t and comes 2500 or 3000 mm wide. Weights run from 216 kg for the Basic midi 2000 to 680 kg for the hydraulic maxi 3000.
The bottom carries HB500 wear bars and the cutting edge is HB500 as well. The top plate is prepared for a bolt-on bracket, and the beam works behind a tiltrotator.
Options: a bolt-on bracket or adapter, side beams that extend by 250 mm, a mounting spot for a level measuring device, and a guard for the hydraulic cylinder. Hardox wear bars can replace the standard ones.
